Nice Brewed Hoppy IPA
Today was a day like no other. I opened up some of my IPA which was brewed a year ago. Why do I have some left you ask- well the answer is I just had several pints hidden back with some other boxes in my computer room and it actually got over looked. After several yells of “Hey, I’m over here” the lost beverage was found. After smiling ear to ear I quickly tucked this away in my fridge allowing the cold to do its thing.
Once open the crisp sound of victory sang loud and clear; almost like two raised hands coming out the sides while backing up slowly. “What…What… did you expect any less Bitches”! This called for a mighty glass I tell yah, the pour came out smooth while my hand shakes ever so slightly. A wonderful creamy, almost cool whipped like head begins to form while straightening the glass.
The Aroma almost had a roasted bready like smell. After several sips the flavor was strong and malty in the beginning followed by some great earthy bitterness from the over generous amount of hops given to this batch. As the beer sit a little bit more you could really get a good all around taste that was amazing. Shocked at the rate the head dissipated, which was none, all I could do is grin ear to ear. The texture was a medium-silky like bodied and was not disappointing in the slightness.
